Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - Moncton

Collaboration with Symphony New Brunswick and the Capitol Theatre

A nine-piece live orchestra performs an original score by Andrew Reed Miller alongside the screening of the classic 1920 silent film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

This film, which stars John Barrymore (grandfather of Drew Barrymore), was one of many adaptations of the 1886 novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. John S. Robertson directed the production, and Clara Beranger wrote the screenplay.

The story, set in late Victorian London, portrays the tragic consequences of a doctor's experiments in separating the dual personalities he thinks define all humans: one good, the other evil.
